Healthy Eating – School Dinners

At lunchtime we provide hot school meals which are prepared in the kitchen at Inmans Primary School. Meals are free of charge for children in Foundation Stage and Key Stage 1 and cost £2.30 each for children in Key Stage 2. Menus for the term are available to view in the school entrance and on the website. Please be aware that www.eastriding.gov.uk has information regarding eligibility for free school meals.

The school accepts payment for meals by SIMS Agora, an online payment system. Please see the school office for more information and access details.

If a child has an appointment or is absent for other reasons in the morning and they are expected to return to school before lunchtime, the parent/carer must notify the office by 9.00 am that day if a hot school meal is required, as orders are placed with Inmans once the morning registers have been checked.

Children may bring a packed lunch in a named plastic container and a bottled drink, eg juice, squash, flavoured water – NO fizzy drinks please. All children staying at lunchtime are supervised by our experienced lunchtime staff. The children are encouraged to eat a balanced meal, use good table manners and enjoy a well ordered social occasion.

Children who go home for their lunch must be collected from the entrance at 12.00 noon. All children should return at 1 pm. Children who arrive back before this time will be asked to wait in the entrance until school starts again at 1 pm.

Parents are welcome to view a full list of allergens for all hot meals served at lunchtimes. This can be arranged via the school office.
